What Is Vybz Kartel In JaiL For?

Adidja Azim Palmer (Theresa’s son )more commonly known as vybz kartel was first charged with with illegal possession of ganja on September 29 and was taken into custody. Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ealan Powell, said a woman and two other men were also detained. Vybz Kartel was later freed of this charge. The three have also been charged with illegal possession of marijuana. ACP Powell said Vybz Kartel is also being questioned in connection with other crimes. It seemed at the time a petty charge and thathe would be free soon but that was not the case . Police Then Raided Vybz Kartel’s Premises. Sources say the raids are part of a widening criminal probe against the artiste. Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) investigators then charged Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, with murder, illegal possession of firearm and conspiracy to murder. The allegation is that on Monday, July 11, 2011, Palmer along with other men conspired to murder Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton , a 27-year-old businessman and promoter of a Gregory Park address in St. Catherine. Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park. Bail was then offered by Supreme Court judge, Justice Bertram Morrison in relation to the case involving themurder of St. Catherine businessman, Barrington Burton. He was granted 3 million dollars bail on this charge but the illegal possession of firearm , the murder of clide lizard williams and conspiracy to murder is still on the table
